About
Risk Mitigation of “person of trust” misconduct does not end at internal policy and disclosure. Forbelle Consulting was established as a way to give Institutions the response protocols and training that can prepare leadership and staff should a situation arise- from disclosure onward. We believe that just as you prepare and practice responses to fire, earthquakes, and active shooters- the same emphasis and attention should be placed on incidents child maltreatment.
In 2019, AB 218 was passed and AB989 was announced. These bills authored by Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher were inspired by Loxie’s fight for justice and reform. AB 218 gives an extension for the Statute of Limitations while AB 989 is slated for reforming the way Institutional reports of Child Abuse are handled and recorded within the system. These are the first real changes in creating a governmental proactive Institutional child abuse response in California.
