Mission
Forbelle Consulting provides consulting and training services on the prevention and response of Institutional Child Abuse.
We hold to a belief that all institutions want to do the legal and ethical when it comes to the response of an event of child sexual or physical abuse. However, we have seen that institutions have historically been litigated and publicly admonished for their lack of appropriate response.
There are instances in the media so often now - like USA Gymnastics, Penn State, the Catholic Church, the Southern Baptist Church, and others. These disclosures of child abuse have led to costly settlements and large scale public relations crises for Institutions that have improperly responded to complaints, reports or investigations.
Forbelle is your organizations answer to the question of “If this happens to us, we want to do better.” or “We had this happen and could’ve done better.” We offer a variety of services to small and large scale childcare or education institutions - from the prevention, to the response, to the evolution after an incident has occurred to prevent another case.
The Name
“Forbelle” literally comes from our founder Loxie’s mantra and why she feels called to the work. After the birth of her daughter, she vowed to fix the broken system for her daughter they call “Belle”.
It serves as a constant reminder of why this is so vital for the next generation.
The Process
Each Institution’s needs and scope vary so widely it is impossible to have one cookie-cutter program that will be just right for your organization. That is why we offer a free consultation to every Institution that connects with us.
Just a sample of what can be provided: Abuse prevention protocols, disclosure response procedure creation, Personnel Handbook audit, In-Person staff training, Parent Information Sessions, Insurance Review, establishing connections to local public resources, Public Relations assistance, and our ultimate and most requested item - the “Rapid Response Service” for disclosure management and litigation mitigation.
